THE Lifeboat was launched at 1.00pm today after a lobster fishing boat issued a distress call. A crew member became trapped in fishing gear at Burial Island near Ballyhalbert.
The crew made full speed along the coast in calm conditions but at Millisle were informed by the Coastguard that the issue had been resolved without incident. The Lifeboat and crew returned to station to make ready for the next launch.
