THE Commonwealth Games baton arrived in Bangor today for a journey across the lough to Carrickfergus aboard the RNLI’s Donaghadee lifeboat Saxon.
The baton has visited 67 countries and will travel to Wales before arriving in Scotland for the games in July. It contains a message from the Queen which was placed inside at the start of its journey in October 2013 at Buckingham Palace.
