This is our 12th Festival Day and we are hoping for good weather. We have a great number of events for all the family to enjoy commencing with a Lifeboat Exercise at 11 a.m. Our Raft Race will be at 12 noon from the Slipway and the Skiff’s will be racing in the Bay all morning from 9.30 a.m. The Lifeguards will also be doing a display in the Harbour area.
A Bouncy Castle, Slide and Vortex Simulator will be in Lemon’s Wharf and down the Harbour there will be rides for the children and a climbing wall along with a variety of stalls and much more to see. The Lighthouse will be open between 11 and 3.30 p.m. . Unfortunately no children under 10 will be permitted on the tour because of safety regulations. Our All-Weather Trent Class Lifeboat, will be open to view between 2 and 4 p.m. We will be supported on the day by the Sailing Club both on the water and afterwards with a BBQ at the Clubhouse and by the Rugby Club who will be doing a run from their Clubhouse into the town and back again. We will have collectors on the streets and we would be most grateful for all the support we can get.
Our boat has been out on 20 calls since January and we are entirely supported by voluntary donations.
Our Raft Race kindly sponsored by Maxol Hightrees is a great event and rafts are available to hire – £40 for a team of 4 and £60 for a team of 6 so get your teams together and join in the fun of the day.
Entry forms are available from the web-site.
